VILLA PARK
Villa Park resident Bob Brodsky and John Turner of Orange have been named “Civilians of the Year” by the Orange County Fire Authority for their efforts in performing CPR on an 81-year-old man in March after he went into cardiac arrest at the Villa Park Pharmacy. “These two guys saw a need and ran over and assisted,” Battalion Chief Stan Matthews said. “In this day and age, no one ever wants to get involved and these guys did, and that makes them outstanding in our mind.” The men will receive certificates from Matthews at Tuesday’s Villa Park City Council meeting, 7:30 p.m. in council chambers, 17855 Santiago Blvd.
