Re “A Theory of Anasazi Savagery,” June 11:

I was disappointed in the attitude of the tenured professors who said they are not going to read Christy Turner’s book. They don’t want to think about it. One of the principal reasons for sending our children to college is to learn to think critically.

How they will learn to think critically with teachers who bury their heads in the sand, I do not know. These professors are a disgrace to their profession and their schools.
