LA PALMA
The city’s 21st annual 5K/10K Run/Walk takes place July 3. The event starts on Walker Street, heads north to Houston Avenue, then south on Moody Street, onto Crescent Avenue and back onto Walker for the finish. Streets in the area will be closed from 7 to 9 a.m. Check-in for the race starts at 6 a.m., and the event begins at 7:30 a.m. Those who preregister by Thursday pay $10; after Thursday, the entry fee is $15. Following the race is a Kiwanis-sponsored pancake breakfast. Information: (714) 522-6740.
