NEWPORT BEACH
The public is invited to attend funeral services today for Father Kenneth Krause, a popular pastor of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Newport Beach, who died after a long battle with pancreatic cancer. In his final months, Krause, 63, who also served as pastor at St. Joachim Church in Costa Mesa, moved many to tears with his graceful acceptance of death. He was diagnosed with the inoperable and incurable disease last December. The funeral mass will be held 9:30 a.m. at Holy Family Cathedral, 566 S. Glassell St. in Orange.
