Moreno Valley 53, San Clemente 51--A long pass to Andrea Bills resulted in a layup with 30 seconds remaining as the Vikings won the Division I-A title at the Pyramid in Long Beach.

Besides scoring the key basket, Bills finished with 18 points as Moreno Valley won its first girls’ section title.

San Clemente (23-9) had overcome a 10-point fourth quarter deficit, forcing 14 turnovers in the final eight minutes. The Tritons took their first lead with 39 seconds left on Colleen Turnbull’s follow of a missed shot.

Turnbull scored 12. Whitney Jones had 10 points and 10 steals, six in the fourth quarter.

Kandace Hunter scored 19 for Moreno Valley (26-5).
