Big Spin Winner, 85, Plans England Trip
A trip to Europe could be in the cards for a Thousand Oaks senior whose televised winning of $50,000 on the California Lottery’s Big Spin show was broadcast this weekend.
“It is an amount of money that isn’t really going to change my life, but it was fun to win it,” said William M. Hogg, 85.
The retired real estate agent said he enjoys traveling and will likely return to his native England with his wife to visit nieces and nephews.
Other winners included Rosa Marroquin of North Hills, Carlos Aldana Jr. of La Puente and Dick Bishop of Palm Desert. Marroquin, a homemaker, said she plans to use the $80,000 she won to open a convenience store. Aldana won $30,000 and Bishop won $20,000.
