Making Connections
By the eighth grade, one of five students in the United States has used an inhalant--such as hair spray, nail polish or spray paint, according to the National Inhalant Prevention Coalition.
Information about prevention, signs and long-term effects of inhalant use, and what parents and teachers can say to youth about inhalants, is available in English and Spanish at the coalition’s Web site at https://www.inhalants.org on the Internet.
The coalition can also be reached at (800) 269-4237.
