Ice Dogs Get By Grizzlies, 4-3
Second-period goals by Dan Lambert and Sean Tallaire sparked the Long Beach Ice Dogs past the Utah Grizzlies, 4-3, on Sunday before 7,210 at the Long Beach Arena.
The Ice Dogs (44-25-4) outshot the Grizzlies (31-33-8), 33-16.
Lambert scored his 17th goal at 8:25 of the second period, and Tallaire scored his 22nd just 1:55 later for what proved to be the winning goal.
Nathan Lafayette scored his seventh goal at 2:09 of the opening period to give the Ice Dogs a 1-0 lead.
Utah’s Rob Bonneau scored his 11th goal at 16:15 to tie the game, but Pavel Rosa, who has five goals and two assists in the last three games, scored his 14th goal less than a minute later to give Long Beach a 2-1 lead.
