Elderly Man Dies After Being Run Over by Golf Cart
A Laguna Niguel man died Friday afternoon after being run over by a golf cart, authorities said.
Investigators said Edward Donovan, 73, an employee of Aliso Viejo Golf Course, was driving the cart downhill just before 4 p.m.
“The elderly gentleman fell out of the golf cart onto the golf course and was then run over by the golf cart,” said Officer Mark Reeves of the California Highway Patrol.
Donovan was transported to Saddleback Memorial Medical Center in Laguna Hills, where he was pronounced dead.
