LAGUNA NIGUEL

Jason Clark and Kelli Everett of Aliso Niguel High School and Shannon Casey, a Dana Hills High School student from Laguna Niguel, were presented with Cox Communications Cable in the Classroom Scholarships at a ceremony Friday. The three seniors were awarded $1,000 scholarships for their achievements in pursuit of careers in communications. Susan Peterson, a social studies teacher at Niguel Hills Middle School, was honored as the Cox Teacher of the Year at the ceremony. Peterson was recognized for her effective use of cable programming in the classroom. She will receive a $500 cash reward and $250 for the purchase of classroom materials.
