Mojave 49, Bell-Jeff 16--The host Mustangs scored on their first four possessions and coasted to an easy first-round victory.
The Guards (4-7) avoided a shutout by scoring a pair of fourth-quarter touchdowns. Carlos Trujillo scored on a one-yard run and sophomore Steven Slaughter scored on a 10-yard run. Slaughter finished with 130 yards in 20 carries.
The Mustangs (10-1), runners-up in the High Desert League, managed to build a 36-0 halftime lead despite running just 17 offensive plays.
Thomas Edblad scored three touchdowns for Mojave, two on runs of five and 31 yards and a third on a 33-yard interception return. He also added five conversion kicks.
