The Santa Ana Historical Preservation Society will hold a turn-of-the-century holiday tea fund-raiser Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the historic Howe-Waffle House. The 1889 Queen Anne Victorian, home of Dr. Willela Howe-Waffle, Orange County’s first female physician, will be decorated with vintage ornaments and antiques. Watercolorist Joan Chassey Bennett’s paintings of local vintage homes will be exhibited. Tickets are $10, or $8 in advance, with proceeds benefiting the preservation efforts of the group.
