Protesters filed their second petition in as many months last week, asking the City Council to curb fishing at Village Pond Park.
Dianne Weirick, who said people and animals had been injured by discarded hooks and fishing line, collected more than 50 signatures from neighbors against fishing in the park.

City officials said they are studying the issue, which is expected to come up again at the Nov. 2 City Council meeting.
