Shipper.com to Deliver Same-Day Service to Online Shoppers
Shipper.com has launched a service designed to give online shoppers the opportunity to receive products the same day that they purchase them from a Web retailer.
The Industry-based company, backed by Pasadena venture capital firm Idealab, has warehouses in Los Angeles and Fremont, Calif., that would deliver products to those local areas. Company officials said it hopes to spend $150 million to $200 million over the next two years to open 20 facilities worldwide.
Shipper.com already sells a variety of products and provides same-day delivery through its site at https://www.instantship.com. The company said it has signed up about half a dozen retailers.
Shipper.com, which would charge retailers for each delivery, said it expects to make same-day deliveries to local areas for $10 to $15.
