PLACENTIA
The Southern California Gas Co. will refund $6,000 to its Placentia customers because of an over-collection error.
The money will be divided among nearly 50,000 customers, based on the amount of gas and electricity used. That factors out to a savings of a few cents per customer.
City Council members will decide tonight how to distribute the refund.
