FOUNTAIN VALLEY
A 17-year-old girl was assaulted by a man in the 17200 block of Oak Street at 10:30 a.m. last week, Police Sgt. Jim Perry said.
The victim was walking home from a local store Oct. 11 when a man about 27 to 35 years old, with dirty blond hair and a pock-marked face, confronted her, Perry said. He was wearing a brown shirt and dark-colored shorts.
The woman screamed for help, and the man ran away. During the struggle, the victim received a bloody nose and a cut to her hand.
