Neptune Society Names President

Burbank-based cremation services firm Neptune Society has named Marco Markin president and chief executive. He also was elected to the board. Markin had been serving as the president of the company’s operating subsidiary, Neptune Management Corp., since May, when the company went public.

Private risk management consultant and insurance broker Willis has named John Genovese president and chief executive of its Los Angeles office. He was promoted from executive vice president.

Los Angeles-based paint manufacturer and retailer Dunn-Edwards Corp. has promoted the following executives: Director of Operations George T. Matthew has been named vice president of stores and distribution; Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer Dennis R. Kromer has added the title of vice president of finance; and John J. Boren, repaint sales manager for Southern California, has been promoted to general sales manager.

Catholic Healthcare West Southern California has appointed Steven R. Barron, former president and chief operating officer of Regional Medical Center of San Jose and San Jose Medical Center, president of St. Bernardine Medical Center in San Bernardino. St. Bernardine, founded in 1931 by the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word, is one of 46 CHW hospitals in California, Arizona and Nevada.

Richard Heckmann, chairman of Vivendi Water and founder of US Filter Corp., has been appointed chairman of the board of advisors of the Harold Price Center for Entrepreneurial Studies at UCLA’s Anderson School.
