Buena has scored no fewer than 27 points in a game, giving the Bulldogs one of the highest scoring offenses in the region.
The Bulldogs defeated Channel League rival Dos Pueblos, 42-0, Thursday night to move to 7-1 overall and 3-0 in league play. All that separates The Times’ No. 7-ranked team from a league title in a season-ending date with cross-town rival Ventura, which went into Friday night 2-0 in league play.
Behind quarterback Kyle Loughman and running back Tyler Ebell, the Bulldogs scored 27 points in their first two games, including a 42-27 loss to No. 2-ranked Westlake (7-1).
Buena has since scored more than 30 points twice and more than 40 points twice in outscoring its opponents, 282-128.
