*** Talking Heads, “Stop Making Sense (Special New Edition),” Sire/Warner Bros. “Say something once, why say it again?” David Byrne asks in the opening “Psycho Killer.” In this case, the answer is because seven of the songs from the 1983 Pantages Theatre concerts filmed by director Jonathan Demme were not included on the original soundtrack album. The new edition now presents the entire set in the order heard in the film (which will be released on DVD next month), restoring the context, development and momentum that made the movie a landmark concert film. Among the prodigal songs: “Heaven,” “This Must Be the Place (Naive Melody)” and “Making Flippy Floppy.”
