Bicyclists, hikers and horse lovers in the area will have a final chance on Wednesday to share ideas on how to improve the city’s run-down trail system.

The Parks and Recreation Commission will hold its second workshop with the community to develop a plan to fix the city’s extensive pedestrian, biking and horse trails.

Preliminary proposals for the trail system include constructing trail heads with rest areas with maps and information. Proposed sites include Clarington Park on Clarington Drive, Mendocino Park on Aliso Hills Drive and Cabot Park on Costeau Street. A main circulation route has been proposed at the community center building being constructed on Alicia Parkway.
