** Lil’ Zane, “Young World: The Future,” Priority.
Sounding as if he’s trying to be a younger 2Pac who raps over the kind of bouncy tracks currently in favor with Southern hip-hop acts, this Atlanta rapper (whose “Callin’ Me” single is a Top 10 hit) fails to present himself as anything other than a hand-me-down on his debut album. His lyrics are straightforward but unoriginal, and his production ranges from faceless to entertaining.
