Taft 70, Camarillo 65--Steve Smith had 43 points and nine rebounds for Taft (8-3) in the third-place game of the Arroyo Grande tournament.
Smith made six of 11 three-point shots.
Mustafa Asghari had 14 points and five assists for Taft.
Smith averaged 31 points in four tournament games. He scored 32 points against Huntington Beach Ocean View, 29 against Atascadero and 22 against San Luis Obispo.
Notre Dame 62, Jackson (Fla.) 54--Michael Luderer scored 25 points and Cody Pearson added 21, including four three-pointers, for Notre Dame (8-1) in the fifth-place game of the Mission Prep tournament at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.
Pearson averaged 23 points in four tournament games for The Times’ No. 1-ranked team in the region.
La Canada 64, Moorpark 63--Greg Gaudino made two free throws with 10 seconds left to cap a second-half comeback in the third-place game of the La Canada-St. Francis tournament.
Gaudino had 25 points and five blocked shots for La Canada (8-2), which trailed by 16 points early in the third quarter.
