Results from four studies of Valley residents and businesses and a database of regional statistics will be presented Thursday at a conference in Universal City.

About 250 people from area companies and civic groups are expected to attend San Fernando Valley Summit 2000 at Universal City Hilton & Towers.

The database, dubbed the San Fernando Valley Almanac, is a collection of government and corporate information about civic and business activity. The database took two years to compile, said Bruce Ackerman, president of the Van Nuys-based Economic Alliance of the San Fernando Valley, the event sponsor.

Also scheduled to be presented is a survey of nearly 1,000 Valley businesses, examining their hiring and expansion plans.

“What’s unique about this summit is that there’s so much information coming together at one time,” Ackerman said.

Admission to Summit 2000 is $75. For more information, call (818) 782-7738.
