FULLERTON
A heating lamp to warm a pet iguana caused a fire on the ground floor of a Fullerton two-story apartment complex in the 2900 block of Yorba Linda Boulevard early Wednesday.
The heating lamp fell between two couches and set the apartment on fire at about 5:45 a.m., said Fullerton Fire Chief Steve Maggliocco.
The residents and their two dogs did not suffer serious injury, but the iguana died. Paramedics on the scene said one resident suffered minor smoke inhalation but refused medical attention.
