In the Diamond tournament:

Cypress 8, Imperial Valley 3--Garrett Estabrook struck out 11 and gave up one earned run in 6 2/3 innings for host Cypress (5-0), which also beat Imperial Valley, 8-5.

Saddleback 8, Long Beach 2--Chad Concolino and Leigh Chenoweth had three hits each and Robbie Ogren (2-0) struck out five in five scoreless innings for Saddleback.

In the Apache tournament:

Orange Coast 8, San Diego Mesa 5--Jason Reuss hit his third home run of the season for OCC (2-2).
