Vanguard’s Boeke Scores 23 in Easy Victory Against Biola

Kelly Boeke scored 23 points and had 14 rebounds as Vanguard defeated Biola, 93-59, in a Golden State Athletic Conference women’s basketball game Saturday night.

Becki Huddle had 15 points and 10 assists for the Lions (24-5, 13-3), who jumped out to a 48-24 halftime lead and never looked back.

In another Golden State Athletic Conference game:

Azusa Pacific 66, Concordia 49--Jaime Gast scored 15 points for Concordia (21-9, 10-6). Priscilla Bendik had 10 rebounds and 10 points for the Eagles.

Host Azusa Pacific improves to 22-5, 13-3.

In GSAC men’s games:

Azusa Pacific 99, Concordia 94--Josh Giles was the game’s high scorer with 31 points for Concordia (15-12, 7-9).

Giles made 10 of 12 free throws and the Eagles shot 84% for the team.

Kevin Daley scored 29 points and Jerome Joseph added 28 to help Azusa Pacific (24-4, 14-2).

Biola 94, Vanguard 84--John Kohlhass scored 35 points, making six of six free throws for Vanguard (11-17, 3-13).

Dennis Keane had 16 points and teammate Brandon Cablay added nine points and eight assists for the Lions.

Marcus White scored 26 points for host Biola (23-4, 14-2).
