$14.1-Million Loss for Prandium in Quarter
Prandium Inc., the Irvine operator of El Torito, Koo Koo Roo, Chi-Chi’s and Hamburger Hamlet restaurants, posted a fiscal fourth-quarter loss of $14.1 million, or 8 cents a share, compared with a loss of $41.2 million, or 30 cents a share, for the previous years final three months. Quarterly sales rose 3.1% to $127.7 million. For the year, the company lost $36.5 million, or 20 cents a share, compared with a net loss of $63.1 million loss, or 48 cents a share, the prior year. Sales were up 13.5% to $536.6 million.
