Supervisor’s Record
* Supervisor Kathy Long has been a hard-working and effective representative during her first term in office.
She has worked tirelessly to see that the Toland Road landfill is operated in compliance with its permit. Because of her efforts and leadership, the landfill is improving. Damage to the surrounding agriculture and the Santa Clara Valley is being reduced.
During recent hearings on the landfill, she again demonstrated her leadership.
I have not always agreed with Kathy Long but I have come to respect her thoughtful and honest opinions. Even more, I have come to appreciate her integrity. I will be voting for her reelection in November.
