As it enters its 42nd year, the Fullerton Friends of Music is expanding its regular concert schedule this summer to include three concerts at three city venues.
The first concert of Summer Series 2000 is set for 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Temple Beth Tikvah, 1600 N. Acacia Ave. and features the prize-winning Golden State Klezmer Band, led by clarinetist Zinovy Goro.
The second concert is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. Aug. 6 at the United Methodist Church on Commonwealth and Pomona avenues. It will feature guitarist William Kanengiser with harpsichordist Beulah Strickler. Their program will feature music by Bach, Handel, Giuliani, Gottschalk, Scarlatti and others.
The final concert is set for 3:30 p.m. Aug. 27 at the Hunt Branch Library, 201 S. Basque Ave. and will feature pianist and violinist Ayke Agus and accordionist Nick Ariondo. Their program will include solos and duos from the baroque to Gershwin.
There is limited seating at each concert and tickets are $15 for adults and $5 for children under 12. Prepaid reservations will be held at each venue, and advanced reservation payment will guarantee seating. Parking is free. Information: (714) 525-5836 or (714) 993-0326.
