Lakers Celebrate Title by Raising Ticket Prices
The Lakers’ first NBA championship in 12 years will cost their fans.
After raising ticket prices before their inaugural season in Staples Center, the Lakers announced another increase Friday.
The best seats in the house next season, other than those on the floor, will cost $160, $140, $100, $70 and $55, a jump in price of $10 a seat. The lowest-priced seats, all in the upper level, will remain at $31, $21 and $10.
Two seasons ago, in the Lakers’ last season at the Great Western Forum, seats were priced at $130, $82.50, $55, $37, $31 and $21.
The increase in the higher-priced seats “reflects the rising costs of salaries and other expenses,” owner Jerry Buss said in a statement, adding that the lower-priced seats remain “so that families and people of all economic levels can afford to see Lakers basketball live.”
