Four men--two brothers and two cousins, all related--were shot to death early Sunday and a fifth man was wounded in a neighborhood known as gang territory, police said.

Police found the San Bernardino residents’ bodies near a driveway about 1:45 a.m. Officers had made no arrests by Sunday evening and there were no descriptions of the attackers.

Homicide detectives were interviewing witnesses but didn’t know what led to the killings, said Lt. Larry Neigel. He said it was too early to determine whether the killings were gang-related.

Residents in the neighborhood adjacent to a business district near historic Route 66 said they heard gunshots ring out over and over.

Killed were brothers Gilbert Michael Agudo, 27, and Johnny Jacinto Agudo, 33; and cousins Anthony Daniel Luna, 23, and Marcelino Gregory Luna, 19.

The wounded man was Armando Villasenor, 23, also of San Bernardino. He had multiple wounds but was in fair condition at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center.
