* Gamelan Concert--Cliff De Arment and the musicians of Bali & Beyond will perform two gamelan concerts Saturday at the Japanese Gardens in Van Nuys. Gamelan is the traditional music of Bali, Indonesia, and is known for its hard-driving, almost rock-like percussive pulse. De Arment and his group, all of whom are American, learned the style of music at California Institute of the Arts in Valencia. * Arts Fest--The NoHo International Theatre and Arts Festival takes place this weekend, coinciding with the opening of the new MTA North Hollywood rail station. Besides more than 90 theatrical performances, the festival will feature live music and other entertainment, arts and crafts, ethnic and traditional food, and free rides on the Metro Red Line. Festival site: Lankershim Boulevard, between Cumpston Street and Magnolia Boulevard, North Hollywood. Hours: Saturday-Sunday, 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Free. (818) 508-5327.

* Air Show--Van Nuys Airport’s annual Aviation Expo will be held this weekend. Featured attractions: aerobatics, skydivers, a flyover by a B-2 Stealth bomber, aircraft displays, exhibits and more. Hours: Saturday-Sunday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. The airport is at 16461 Sherman Way. Free. (818) 773-3293.

* Swing Concert--Bill Elliott will bring his Swing Orchestra to Warner Park in Woodland Hills Sunday at 5 p.m. for a free concert. Elliott has a varied musical pedigree: Besides composing and arranging for films and TV, he’s worked with such singers as Bonnie Raitt, Donna Summer, Bette Midler and Stevie Nicks. But swing music remains his first love. Elliott and his ensemble perform his original swing compositions in the styles of Artie Shaw, Tommy Dorsey and other masters. They also do their own renditions of tunes by Duke Ellington, Benny Goodman and others. The park is at 5800 Topanga Canyon Blvd. (818) 704-1587.
