Aprisa Inc. Appoints New Chief Financial Officer

Aprisa Inc. in Westlake Village has appointed David Olert to the position of chief financial officer and vice president of administration.

Prior to joining Aprisa as the company’s controller in December, Olert served Alaska Communications Systems as its director of financial reporting. Before that, he was director of financial reporting at ACT Networks Inc. in Camarillo.

Olert is a certified chartered accountant and holds a master’s degree in business administration.

“His knowledge of the SEC reporting requirements and his experience in dealing with public investors and investment bankers will help Aprisa in its efforts to become a publicly traded company,” said Martin Shum, Aprisa’s founder and chief executive.

Shum and Olert worked together at ACT Networks.

Aprisa, a Web-based engineering service provider, is designed to speed products to market by enabling a quick design discovery process.

Aprisa’s search engine allows electronics design engineers to find and evaluate the latest technology developments.
