MISSION VIEJO
The Planning Commission this week approved a set of guidelines for Cox Communications Inc. to withdraw from its cable hub site on Preciados Drive over the next two years.
In October, Preciados Drive residents complained to the commission that Cox’s use of the facility was not in keeping with its permit for an unmanned maintenance site and created a noise and traffic disturbance in the neighborhood.
According to the agreement, Cox will be allowed access to the shed, which houses cable lines, every weekday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Except in emergencies, Cox must give the neighbors 48 hours’ notice before doing any work there at night.
