Shea Properties, a division of developer J.F. Shea Co., plans to move its headquarters next month into a $30-million business park the company is developing in Aliso Viejo.

The division will move 80 employees from Walnut in Los Angeles County to the new office at Town Center Corporate Park. The relocation will allow the division to be located more centrally to its projects in the Southland, said W. William Gaboury, president of Shea Properties.

The division, which owns and operates more than 5,000 apartment units and 2 million square feet of commercial real estate in California and Colorado, will occupy 27,000 square feet in a building that is scheduled to be completed next month.

The business park will have five, two-story office buildings totaling nearly 200,000 square feet when construction is scheduled to be completed in April.

J.F. Shea also owns Shea Homes, the Southland’s third-largest home builder.
