DANA POINT
The South Coast Water District Board of Directors is scheduled tonight to discuss its impending takeover of the Tri-Cities Municipal Water District.
South Coast General Manager Michael Dunbar said the board is expected to approve Tri-Cities’ agreements with San Clemente, the state Department of Parks and Camp Pendleton.
By approving the service contracts, the board would pave the way for South Coast to assume control of Tri-Cities at the end of the month, Dunbar said.
Dunbar said the delay enabled the three agencies to ensure the transition goes smoothly when South Coast takes over Tri-Cities on March 31.
The meeting is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. at 31592 West St., Laguna Beach.
