THE SAFETY ZONE: ACTION LOG

The Times publishes a daily list of police incident reports provided by local law enforcement agencies. The Times prints items as soon as departments make them available. Because many departments release incident reports only weekly, not every community will be represented in each day’s Action Log. Authorities from the following cities released incident reports Wednesday:

BREA

* East Ash Street: A petty theft was reported in the 300 block at 3:32 p.m. Tuesday.

* East Imperial Highway: A grand theft was reported in the 2300 block at 3:29 p.m. Tuesday.

CYPRESS

* Tammy Street: A suspicious person was reported in the 10700 block at 4:07 a.m. Tuesday.

* Cerritos Avenue: A petty theft was reported in the 5900 block at 11:07 p.m. Tuesday.

FOUNTAIN VALLEY

* Talbert Avenue: Someone shattered a window and took $2,010 worth of property from a car parked in the 9900 block at 8:05 p.m. Saturday.

GARDEN GROVE

* Garden Grove Boulevard: A report of child

abandonment in the 7900 block Sunday at 1:02 a.m. Police responded to a report of a 12- and 14-year-old brother and sister at a motel without food, money or an idea of when their father would return to care for them. Police placed the children at Orangewood Children’s home.

LA PALMA

* Centerpointe Drive: A vehicle burglary was reported in the 100 block at 6:51 p.m. Tuesday.

* Orangethorpe Avenue: A grand theft was reported in the 5300 block at 11:49 a.m. Tuesday.

ORANGE

* Orangewood Avenue: A traffic accident was reported at 1:15 p.m. Monday. There were no injuries.

PLACENTIA

* South Kraemer Boulevard: A noninjury traffic accident was reported in the 1400 block at 10:45 a.m. Tuesday.

* South Kraemer Boulevard: Trespassing was reported in the 200 block at 12:15 a.m. Tuesday.

SANTA ANA

* Harbor Boulevard: A report of a burglary alarm in the 16300 block at 5:41 p.m. on Tuesday.

TUSTIN

* Shasta Way: A vandalism was reported in the 14000 block at 12:30 p.m. Monday.

VILLA PARK

* Villa Drive: A robbery alarm was triggered in the 18000 block at 8:15 a.m. Monday.

YORBA LINDA

* Yorba Linda Boulevard: A petty theft was reported in the 18000 block at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Authorities from the following cities did not release incident reports: Anaheim, Buena Park, Costa Mesa, Fullerton, Huntington Beach, Irvine, Laguna Beach, La Habra, Los Alamitos, Newport Beach, Seal Beach and Westminster.
