HIGH SCHOOL NOTEBOOK
Cal-Hi Sports dumped cross-town rivals Ventura (25-2) and Buena (22-6) from its rankings.
The Cougars were ranked No. 4 overall and in Division I statewide, but its 50-48 loss at Channel League-rival Santa Barbara caused their tumble.
The Bulldogs fell, 72-62, at Cerritos and plummeted out of the ratings from their No. 5 overall and Division I slot.
Ventura was ranked No. 2 and Buena No. 3 in Southern California’s Top 10 rankings, but fell from that poll as well.
Alemany (23-6) is the only other ranked girls’ team, but the Indians dropped from No. 4 to No. 9 in the Division III rankings after losing a Southern Section semifinal to Fullerton Rosary.
