The commander in chief of the Veterans of Foreign Wars’ national division paid a visit Tuesday to City Hall. John Smart, head of the VFW, is on a tour of the U.S. and stopped by to see the patriotic banners that Mayor Guy Carrozzo has installed. He also spoke with Carrozzo about the mayor’s dedication to honoring veterans and enthusiasm for bolstering patriotism throughout the city. Smart was joined on his visit by VFW State Commander Richard Eubank, District Commander Bob Chermack and local Post Commander Earl Fulk.
