Ice Dogs Lose Shootout to Blades

For the first time in 23 shots, Ice Dog goalie Nikolai Khabibulin gave up a goal during a shootout and that was enough for the visiting Kansas City Blades to defeat Long Beach, 3-2, Friday night.

Michal Pivonka scored the Blades’ goal during the shootout and that proved to be the difference. The Ice Dogs failed to score in five attempts.
