Ventura Student Named Young Marine of Year
Matthew McCurdy, a senior at Ventura High School, was selected as the California Young Marine of the year. Matthew was honored for his achievements over a four-year period as a member of the Ventura County Young Marine program. He has risen to the rank of first sergeant with 100% testing and meritorious promotions.
