In consolation games at the Loara tournament:

Aliso Niguel 2, San Clemente 0--Aliso Niguel’s Darren Pitchford (2-0) pitched a two-hitter, striking out four and walking none.

Jeremy Burchett drove in both runs for the Wolverines (3-2).

Fountain Valley 7, El Toro 4--Mike Koehler (2-0) pitched four innings and struck out six for Fountain Valley (4-1) in the consolation final. El Toro is 2-2-1.

Cypress 10, Servite 5--Jason Filarey had a double, home run and four RBIs and Brandon Gruber had two doubles and three RBIs for Cypress (3-2).

Loara 5, Canyon 3--Rudy Acosta’s two-out triple in the sixth drove in the go-ahead run for Loara (3-2). Winning pitcher David Ortiz (1-1) struck out five in five innings.

Los Alamitos 14, Laguna Hills 5--John Hartford had two hits, including a three-run home run in the first, and four RBIs for Los Alamitos (3-2).

Teammate Jarod Ball hit a grand slam in the third for the Griffins.

Marina 4, Downey 2--Marina’s Robert Saltarelli hit a bases-loaded double in the bottom of the third to break a 1-1 tie.

University 8, Santa Margarita 4--Jordan Cumsky had three hits, including his second home run, scored three runs and had three RBIs for visiting University (4-1) in the fifth-place game.

Santa Margarita is 3-2.

Western 3, Pacifica 0--Sophomore outfielder Chris Jackson hit a solo home run in the sixth inning for Western.

Dana Hills 5, Diamond Bar 3--Matt Cooper hit a two-out, two-run triple in the second inning for Dana Hills (1-4).

Edison 3, Kennedy 1--Winning pitcher Joey Mozeleski had one hit and an RBI for Edison (3-1-1).

Kennedy drops to 2-3.

Mozeleski (2-0) got the victory for the Chargers and reliever Glenn Hedgpeth gave up no hits for his first save. Justin Carroll and Chris Lane each drove in a run with singles in the fourth inning for the Chargers.

Irvine 11, Savanna 10--Chris Lewis had three hits, including a three-run home run in the fifth, six RBIs and three runs for Irvine (3-2).

Winning pitcher Chad Hazlett (3-0) won his third game of the week.

Katella 6, La Mirada 4--Aaron Purcha had two hits and two runs and Carlos Muro (1-0) pitched three scoreless innings to earn the victory for Katella (3-2).

In the Costa Mesa tournament:

L.A. Roosevelt 9, Santiago 5--Brett Almand had two hits and two RBIs for Santiago (3-2-1) in the final.

Brian Pearson had three hits for Roosevelt (4-0), and teammate Joran Iboa (1-0) gave up three hits and three unearned runs and struck out seven for his first win.

Century 7, Laguna Beach 2--Alex Gutierrez hit a three-run home run in the first inning and a two-run double in the second for Century (2-2) in the seventh-place game. Gutierrez had three hits.

Laguna Beach is 1-3.

Costa Mesa 5, Rancho Alamitos 3--Frank Delarosa, Mo Garcia and Brad French each had two hits for Rancho Alamitos (1-3) in a consolation game.

Estancia 6, Orange Lutheran 5--David Akiva’s single with two out in the bottom of the seventh drove home C.K. Green and completed a four-run comeback for Estancia (2-2) in a consolation game.

Armando Ortiz (1-1) went the distance for the Eagles, striking out six.

Santa Ana 7, Garden Grove 6--Manny Pedroza’s RBI single with one out in the bottom of the seventh inning won the consolation game for Santa Ana (2-2).

In the El Segundo tournament:

Brea Olinda 3, Burbank Burroughs 2--Junior Erik Staack had two hits and drove in all three runs for Brea Olinda (3-2) in a consolation game.

Sophomore Justin Rigbsy earned his first save, striking out three in 1 1/3 innings for the Wildcats.

In the Montebello tournament:

Orange 8, Montebello 3--John Medina’s three-run home run highlighted a five-run first for tournament champion Orange (4-0).

Anthony Alvarado (2-0) got the victory for the Panthers, going five innings and striking out six.

In the North Orange County tournament:

Los Amigos 7, Pomona Diamond Ranch 0--Senior center fielder Raul Rodriguez had three hits, including his first home run of the season, and five RBIs and Bishop Griggs (1-1) threw a three-hitter for Los Amigos (1-3) in a consolation game.

In nonleague gameS:

Buena Park 4-10, El Modena 2-11--Kurt Angier hit a two-run home run in the bottom of the sixth and teammate Aaron Wise had three hits and an RBI for host El Modena (3-4) in the second game of the doubleheader.

Whittier California 12-10, Santiago 2-3--Sophomores Ceasar Cabral and Danny Florido each hit their first home runs of the season in the second game of the doubleheader for Santiago (2-3).

California (5-0) scored four runs in the fourth inning to break open a one-run game.
