The single trash bin for residents may be replaced by three 100-gallon containers--one each for recyclables, green waste and trash--in an effort to reduce the amount of trash that goes to landfills.
The City Council postponed a decision at its last meeting that would allow Consolidated Disposal Service to increase the rate to $14.04 per month and give residents the additional bins. They will vote on the proposal at the next meeting.
