Vista Vision

Nicolai Ouroussoff’s deconstruction of the architectural plans for the proposed Playa Vista development was masterful (“This Vision of Future Covers Old Ground,” March 12).

I am in full agreement with his conclusion that behind all the window dressing stand certain ideas about homogeneity. The proposed price structure, of course, was the tip-off: Only developers could dream up the strange notion that the $200,000 to $1 million housing price spread will bring “diversity.”

In a way, I can see their argument: Playa Vista will attract the well off and the very well off.
