Don’t Get Mad, Coach, They’re Trying Hard

“Earth to Andy Murray!” If you continue to rip your players in the media, in particular after an opposing goalie stands on his head to steal a win from your hockey club (Nashville’s Mike Dunham, March 19), then you will be watching this year’s Stanley Cup playoffs on your couch and should be back coaching high school kids next season, because any sensible athlete will lie down for the duration after giving 100% effort throughout the season (Jozef Stumpel, Luc Robitaille, Bryan Smolinski)--only to be vilified by his coach.
