Dogged by injuries that prevented her from improving on last year’s all-county performance, Barnett was still the focal point for opposing defenses. She helped the Royals to the Division III-AA section final, averaging 16.3 points and 4.2 assists.

A dominant force inside, Jackley was a handful for most opponents. Among the county leaders in scoring and rebounding, she averaged 21.8 points, 12.1 rebounds and played a central role as Valencia (23-4) had its most successful season.

A two-time selection, Johns-Richardson is a dynamic performer. She had 152 steals in top-ranked Troy’s full-court defense, and averaged 18.3 points, 7.0 assists and 6.7 rebounds. She shot 57.3% from the field.

WHITNEY JONES

One of the county’s best defenses benefited from the long arms and great anticipation skills of Jones, who averaged 4.6 steals. However, her team’s success was due largely to her development into an offensive force who averaged 14.8 points and nine rebounds.

One of the county’s smoothest players, Mann is on the first team for the second time after leading Foothill to the Division II-AA semifinals. She shot 54.6% from the field and averaged 19.9 points, 9.9 rebounds and 3.6 assists.

The Aztecs allowed 38.7 points per game and Peters was the best player in their press. She also shot 49.5% from the field and averaged 15.9 points, 5.9 rebounds and 3.2 steals, and is among the Aztecs’ top 10 players in career points, rebounds and steals.

One of the county’s finest ballhandlers, and a two-time all-county selection, Shimoda was the one constant for the Monarchs in a season plagued by injuries. A three-point threat who shot 44.7 from the arc, she averaged 14.7 points and five assists.

Last season’s player of the year will attend Stanford after leading the Ladycats to a third consecutive state championship. A three-time selection, Trotter shot 58.4% from the field, averaged 20.6 points, 10.2 rebounds and 3.8 assists.

Zylstra was one of the county’s most competitive players. With a shooting range that extended to the three-point line, Zylstra remained a dominant inside force who averaged 15.2 points and 14 rebounds.
