* Eskimo Pie Corp. said it’s being acquired by Toronto-based Yogen Fruz World-Wide Inc. for about $36 million, or $10.25 a share, in cash. Yogen Fruz, which sells Tropicana frozen fruit juice bars as well as frozen dessert products under the Yoplait, Colombo and Yoo Hoo brand names, said the acquisition will more than double its consumer products business in the United States. Eskimo Pie had earlier resisted acquisition offers from Yogen Fruz, its largest shareholder with a 17% stake. The company operates about 3,500 frozen-yogurt outlets. Shares of Eskimo Pie rose 81 cents to close at $9.81 on Nasdaq.
