THE SAFETY ZONE: ACTION LOG
The Times publishes a daily list of police incident reports provided by local law enforcement agencies. The Times prints items as soon as departments make them available. Because many departments release incident reports only weekly, not every community will be represented in each day’s Action Log. Authorities from the following cities released incident reports Wednesday:
BREA
* Brea Mall: Petty theft was reported in the 2100 block at 1:57 p.m. Wednesday.
* East Almond Drive: A person was reported exhibiting a firearm in the 800 block at 12:33 a.m. Wednesday.
* North Site Drive: Vandalism was reported in the 1000 block at 4:31 p.m. Wednesday.
COSTA MESA
* Fairview Road: A disturbance was reported in the 2000 block at 12:30 a.m. Wednesday.
* Oxford Lane: A petty theft was reported in the 2500 block at 7:40 a.m. Wednesday.
* Rutgers Drive: Vandalism was reported in the 2000 block at 12:20 p.m. Wednesday.
FOUNTAIN VALLEY
* Brookhurst Street: A car was burglarized and a cell phone stolen in the 16000 block at 12:39 p.m. Tuesday.
* Harbor Boulevard and Lilac Avenue: A man was arrested for resisting an officer and driving without a license at 3:04 p.m. Tuesday.
* Newland Street and Warner Avenue: A man was arrested for possession of marijuana at 11:07 a.m. Tuesday.
FULLERTON
* Bastanchury Road and State College Boulevard: Police responded to a report of shots heard at 12:29 a.m. Thursday.
* East Commonwealth Avenue: A fight was reported in the 100 block at 1:20 a.m. Thursday.
* West Knepp Avenue: An auto theft was reported in the 300 block at 3:29 a.m. Thursday.
* Palm Drive: A burglary was reported in the 3200 block at 7:41 p.m. Wednesday.
* East Santa Fe Avenue: Police responded to a report of assault in the 100 block at 6:11 p.m. Wednesday.
HUNTINGTON BEACH
* Viewpoint Lane: A home in the 16700 block was burglarized at 12:36 a.m. Tuesday.
* Springdale Street: A purse was reported stolen from a car in the 16400 block at 12:59 a.m. Tuesday.
* Sunburst Lane: A woman was assaulted in the 15500 block at 8:55 a.m. Wednesday.
LA HABRA
* North Idaho Street: A burglary was reported in the 400 block at 8:03 a.m. Tuesday.
* East La Habra Boulevard: An alarm went off in the 700 block at 4:34 a.m. Tuesday.
* East Whittier Boulevard: A suspicious vehicle was reported in the 1000 block at 2:21 a.m. Tuesday.
NEWPORT BEACH
* Agate Avenue: A bike worth an estimated $250 was stolen from a garage in the 200 block between 4:45 and 6:15 p.m. Tuesday.
* East Bluff Drive: A wallet was stolen from a shopping cart in the 2000 block at 9 a.m. Tuesday.
ORANGE
* Eckhoff Street: A petty theft was reported in the 800 block at 11:26 a.m. Wednesday.
PLACENTIA
* South Jefferson Street: A storage shed was burglarized in the 300 block sometime between Sunday and Wednesday at 5 p.m. An estimated $2,000 in tools was stolen.
* Comanche Drive: A man found asleep in a car in the 500 block was arrested for possession of a switchblade Wednesday.
* East Orangethorpe: A smoker was cited for lighting up in a public place at a bar in the 1200 block at 10:23 p.m. Wednesday.
VILLA PARK
* Valley Drive: A suspicious car was reported in the 18000 block at 7:54 p.m. Thursday.
YORBA LINDA
* Avenida Rio del Oro: Vandalism was reported in the 4600 block at 6:43 a.m. Wednesday.
* Imperial Highway: Grand theft was reported in the 1700 block at 2:25 p.m. Wednesday.
* Via Marisa: A burglary was reported in the 20700 block at 1:48 p.m. Wednesday.
* Imperial Highway/Olinda Street: A traffic accident involving an injury was reported at 4:50 p.m. Wednesday.
* Yorba Linda Boulevard: A traffic accident involving an injury was reported in the 18500 block at 9:04 a.m. Wednesday.
Authorities from the following cities did not release incident reports: Anaheim, Buena Park, Cypress, Huntington Beach, Irvine, Laguna Beach, La Palma, Santa Ana, Seal Beach, Tustin and Westminster.

Go to https://www.ocsd.org and click on “Sheriff’s Blotter.” Incident reports are updated every few minutes and cover the cities of Dana Point, Laguna Hills, Laguna Niguel, Laguna Woods, Lake Forest, Mission Viejo, Rancho Santa Margarita, San Clemente, San Juan Capistrano, Stanton and Villa Park, as well as the county’s unincorporated areas.
