Vintage Plane Group Plans Open House
The Ghost Squadron of the Confederate Air Force will host a Memorial Day weekend open house next Sunday and Monday.
The squadron, based at Camarillo Airport, cares for vintage planes. Among the planes in its possession are a B-17, a C-46 Transport, a Japanese Zero fighter, an F-8F2 Bearcat fighter and an SNJ Navy Trainer. The group is also restoring a B-25 bomber.
On Memorial Day, pilots will pay their respects to America’s veterans by flying over memorial services and opening their World War II aviation museum for tours.
Members of the Confederate Air Force show off the planes they have restored at air shows throughout the summer.
