Teenager Killed in Likely Gang Shooting
A 15-year-old Pacoima boy was killed Sunday in what police say was a gang-related shooting.
The teenager, whose name was not released, was shot about 4:45 p.m. in the 12500 block of Filmore Street, near Hubert H. Humphrey Memorial Park, said Det. Frank Bishop of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Foothill Division.
Bishop said the teenager approached a car, argued with its occupants and was shot. “They were rival gang members,” he said.
The car is believed to be a black, two-door Oldsmobile or Buick, Bishop said.
Anyone with information is asked to call Foothill homicide detectives at (818) 834-3102 or (818) 756-8863.
